I am a masters runner from central Pennsylvania. I compete primarily on the track, but run a road race now and then when the schedule allows. I set personal records for my masters career in the 800m (1:56.07) in 2010, and in the 1500m (4:02.63) and the mile (4:23.48) in 2011. Now that I am 44 I am hanging on for dear life – don’t count me out though…
When not running I am a pilot and moonlight as an assistant coach with the boys and girls cross country teams at Cumberland Valley High School here in Mechanicsburg PA – my alma mater. I am a 1991 graduate of the US Naval Academy, and served 10 years on active duty as a naval aviator before joining FedEx to fly the Airbus A300. I am married and have two grade school aged daughters (13 and 8).
Nick–
At what number can I reach you? We’re putting together an Outdoor 35-39 WR attempt in Boston in early JUNE, and want to see if your 40-44 Team wants to go for it with us.

Nick – I was searching the internet for conversion distance/time info for the HydroWorx treadmill vs. land running and came across your photo! I recognize you from Elite Athletic Performance – I’ve been training with Rich Harris for awhile. Apparently, you work with HydroWorx – can you tell me where to find the conversion info?
I’m a sprinter but love reading your accounts of your races!! Also kudos to your daughter. Hope she did well at the swimming championships. ( I passed on the 200m at Nat’ls for my daughters first AAU basketball tournament. Watching her play was way more nerve wracking than running in any meet ever cold have been-even Nat’s).
Thanks. I enjoy her races as much as I do mine, so I don’t consider it much of a sacrifice to have to miss a meet to go to one of hers. She is developing into a pretty good swimmer, so hopefully she will continue to enjoy it…
